GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Our Muscovite mica tape for fire-resistant cable is made of high quality Muscovite mica paper as the base material, with alkali-free glass fibre cloth as the reinforcing material on one or both sides. The final product is obtained by bonding with silicone resin, followed by high temperature of 950°C to 1000°C baking, drying and slitting. The mica tape is mainly used between the core and the sheath of fire-resistant cables to perform the function of fire-resistant insulation. Our tapes have high flexibility and high tensile strength, which is suitable for high-speed taping up to 2200 RPM.

PROPERTIES:

Muscovite Mica tape has a superior flame barrier compared to Phlogophite Mica tape. Calcined Muscovite has Mica particle thickness of 1-2 micron therefore Muscovite Mica can take sharp bends while taping on the conductor. Muscovite Mica tape has thin flakes & as a result, di-electric strength 50% higher than Phlogophite Mica for the same thickness. Bonding between layers is excellent, no peeling and falling of mica during taping. Taping surface is smooth.

- Muscovite mica with both side glass fabric (IEC-60331-2, BS 6387 CWZ, EN50200)
